Awkward train rides

So im in a very croweded train and we are coming out of the station at the same time as another train. In the train next to mine i can see this group of like 12 year old boys blowing kisses to people on my train so as their window aproaches mine and they blow a kiss at me i blow one back. Those 12 year olds thought they were cool. Then their train goes faster and i see a nother window of like 16 year olds flipping off my train; so as their window aproaches mine i blow them a kiss and they blow one back. I theb realise the people next to me in my train are stearing. My train them passes the other train so i see the 16 year olds and they are waving at me, then we pass the 12 year olds and they wave too. Now im just getting strange looks from the people in my train.

Milan

What this poorly taken picture shows is that if i dont get off at my trains stop for home (Thun) in a few hours... Like 3 im guessing... Im in milan italy!!! My host sister says its easy for day trips!!!!!

Berlin

If I just dont get off my train to language school after 9 hours I could be in Berlin. I told that to my host mom and she said once my host sister is finished with exams we could go for like 3 days. I told that to my host sister and she doesnt really believe that her mom said that. BUT SHE DID. We will see.

That emberessing moment

That moment when you are in a crowed train and ticket checkers come up to you and your wallet is at the bottom of your bag and yoy tell them in German you need to find it and as you say it you realize you said the words in the wrong order and you are pulling out your german course books. I am sure no one knows im not swiss... Im sure of it...

Free stuff

So like everyday at the Bern trainstation there are like a dozen people handing out free stuff, somedays its reusable shopping bags, or energy drinks, stuff like that. Today was handwarmers shaped like hearts that say matterhorn on them.... Fyi im really good at getting mulitple. Today i got 5 hand warmers.... Guess what ill send home to my mom?!?

Locker shelf

Today I finally got a shelf in my school class locker (its like 5 kids to one locker) and my own key! So does this make me integrated?!? Haha

I would fail english

So today in english class we were reading a short story and then had to answer questions. I totally did not understand the story and the teacher thinks I am a bit of an idiot. Worst of all this is not the first time things like this have happend.

Candy from a stranger

So I am at my bus stop this morning, when a very old man comes walking past (and here in switzerland when you pass someone you say morning or hello even if you dont know them) so i say goodmorning to this man and he stops walking and asks me how I am and then proceded to pull a ricola caugh drop out of his pocket (i think thats the equivalant of giving kids candy here, and i wasnt even caughing) and gave it to me and walked away. I am stuck between that is so sweet and ... Elizabeth you know your parents always told you not to take candy from stangers. Haha

Playdate

So my host parents set up a playdate for me and the daughters of a man in my rotary club. Normaly I wouldn't really be thrilled about this but I liked both the girls, one happens to read this very blog!!! She got brownie points for that forsure!

Off to see catching fire with the girls. I am guessing it is in english but here you never know. Fingers crossed emily reseached it!

Bio

So i checked online to see if i had bio class today it said yes. I also asked a classmate this morning they said yes. I have been here 4:22 min. Where is my class?? Or even the teacher?!?
come one guys! Stop trolling the exchange student.

Spanish presentation

Had a spanish presentstion yesterday. I thought it was a group project so I didnt really concern myself with it. The day before it was due I find out you have to do it on your own. The topic What Cant You Live Without.
I freeked out because at the moment the extent of my spanish is NO HABLA ESPAÑOL. I finally decided that giving it in german was better than nothing.
The class was broken into two groups one group in the room at a time. I was in the second group and the last to go. I gave a presentation about books/ reading. At the end my classmates asked me questions and i gave answers.
This lead to two funny situations.
That half of the class realised i speak german and stopped talking to me in english. Second my spanish teacher wasnt mad I gave it in german and said how good i did, and i realized my spanish teacher is my only teacher that knows i can speak SOME german.

Proud moment

The proud moment when the kids in your class ask you the asnwers to the chemistry problems hahahahaha

Italy

Dear readers, happy new year

Christmas day my host family and I drove to south Italy. We had a great time. As of an hour ago I am back in switzerland. Pictures to come.
