So in switzerland if you go to the really popular tourist places the sales people and waiters will either greet you in english or just stare awkwardly untill you say something so they know how to reply.

Wheres waldo... German adition

So my host mom when i first changed families showed my their kids book shelf and said i should read them to improve my german.
Tonight when were were eating dinner with friends she asks me ... "Elizabeth... Have you read any of the books?"
me "yes"
her"how many?"
Me" i dont know... 5"
her"which ones?"
me"wheres waldo."

...she wasnt impressed

A trusting host sister

So today I was in Bern and decided to go throught the Saturday market. I baught two types of olives, one that I didnt realize was supposed to be very hot. Back at home I decide to try one. Im alone and run for water because it was so strong. Then I decide id give one to my host sister, whom I sometimes bring snacks to while shes studying so she had no suspicion.  I offer it to her and she directs me to put it strait in her mouth.  As shes chewing I ask... "do you like spicy food" she looks at me confusdd for a second then the olive kicks in and she just says... AWWWW.

History class

So I am in histlry class and we are talking about the middle ages. My teacher said that in china they measured their history differently and didnt have middle ages. Then this kid raises his hand and asks
"what about America"
To which my teacher replied
"America is a child"

....

Not cool

I think it is very uncool how all the kids in my class say I dont work.
Today in a 45 minute computer class I made these two pictures while all the other kids were on facebook and stuff. At least I was productive!
